Hi everyone,
I received an entry-level IBD analyst offer from a major bank and was about to sign it. However, the offer has a paid non-compete period of 3 months enforceable at the bank’s discretion.
Wondering if this is normal? How would it be possible for me to jump ship with this covenant?

Thanks a lot. Does it mean that I will need to look for jobs that can allow me to start my new gig three months later rather than maybe two weeks later? I saw that my associate started his new role at a competitor almost immediately.
