Non-Target Undergrad in need of assistance

Assuming I understand accounting, valuation, and DCF models thoroughly...is there any need to know about merger models and lbo models for the sake of interviewing for summer analyst positions in investment banking?

Thank you for your time; I realize you're more than likely reading this after having been awake for 36+ hours, so I appreciate it.

You will likely get some basic / standard M&A questions: Ex. Company A has P/E of 10 and acquires Company B in an all stock transaction. After, factoring premium and synergies, the implied acquisition P/E of B is 8. Is the transaction Accretive or dilutive? Note: this is the simplest version of the question. You can always dig deeper.

Similiar situation so I'll pass along the advice that was given to me; if you really feel unprepared for technical questions or want more of an idea of what to expect, buy the M&I interview guide. A friend used it and said it was great.

If you want cheaper resources, or just helpful websites I believe you can check out macabacus, or surf the web as much as possible.

Hope that helps; just to restate I have not have not had any ib interviews so this was just advice given to me from those who have.
