Normal amount of time between initial HR contact and interview set up

Last weekend a girl in HR at JP Morgan called me to notify me of the Honors Program. She had also called another kid at my school on the same day. She liked my resume and gave me a general overview of the different groups (M&A, Research and S&T). She said it was not an interview and just asked me why I chose my undergraduate school.

She said the next step would be having an interviewer contact me to set up an interview. Its been one week and I haven't received a call from the interviewer. Could it be that they are just making initial contact with all those who they would like to interview this past week?

I'm thinking of calling to just check in on where the process is currently at, or should I wait for the interviewer to call me?

There is no normal. I know this is not what you want to hear. After my intial HR 15minute interview she said they would be getting in touch with me. I thought that was all lip service, but exactly one month later they called to tell me that I made final rounds. I do not know how this process works for interns, as I did strictly FT, but I imagine the process is expedited. Maybe Miss Ind can provide some insight.
