Not selected for H-1B - Best strategy

Got full-time after an internship at European IBAB but did not get selected in the H-1B lottery. Do not have CPT or OPT, so basically can't work in the US and have to find alternatives.

What is the best option? Asking the bank to transfer to London/other offices with easier visa policy and then coming back with an L1 visa, asking them to try the lottery for me again next year, doing a one-year stem master with 3 years opt, and starting one year later?

What is the best strategy? Asking HR with whom I have been in contact with (Junior Talent Dep. HR) or the Head of HR CC'ed in my "not selected" email by the immigration lawyers, or do I also reach out to the assigned senior mentor, or the VP and/or MD from my division?

Sorry man but if you don't have CPT/OPT then there isn't much you can do at this point. Happens to a lot of people. To make the best use of time, I would start looking for new positions in your home country. Relocations for those who didn't win the H1-B lottery are becoming more and more uncommon each year. What's more, they're not likely to extend you a relocation offer when you haven't even started.

There is another legal option many people don't talk about often, it is a measure of last resort and only to be used in emergencies.
"Day 1 CPT" universities allow you to follow required curricular practical training from day 1 of your studies. Only use these as an absolute last chance and only if you have sponsors lined up to sponsor H1b as quickly as possible, or if your spouse would be marrying you anyway. USCIS don't look at day 1 cpt in a favorable light and may block future visa attempts.

That, or do the STEM master on top of your existing degree.

Thanks for the response. I looked into Day 1 CPT but could not find any good programs near NYC. So will i be able to study and work at the same time?

You don't have to "be there physically" very often, but I am not sure how many are near NYC. You would, in theory, be able to do your "CPT" from Day 1. But again, all other things need to be lined up, like H1b sponsors or a girlfriend ready to marry you, etc. There is no point in going down the Day 1 CPT path if you have no real plan of action how to get a visa.

Doing your Master's might be the better option with more opportunities going forward.

Can you help me in finding a uni near NYC (e.g. New Jersey, Penn) or some uni where I don't have to be physically. I can definitely bring that up as an option as I think they would be willing to sponsor again.

How about the J-1 traineeship program? Can I ask my employer to work with a third-party sponsor to get me a 18 months J-1 visa and then apply for H-1B?
