Note to Analysts: Aligning logos on PPT or building a needlessly long formula doesn’t win the bank deals!
Often see analysts here complaining about how MBA Associates, MBA VPs etc aren’t value add to the work analysts are doing.
the point is they don’t need to be. Being glorified excel jockeys or PowerPoint ninjas isn’t what’s winning the bank deals.
it’s the big picture stuff which is what is the real clincher. And that is why >75% of the MDs and directors, the analysts and associates work for are through the MBA path.
analysts do a great job and put in the hours but doing a good formatting job and making an excel sheet isn’t the rainmaker for why bank.
Analysts are too stupid to realize this (they're not MDs or "M.D.s - that is medical doctors" after all)
