The fact you’re listing LES and mention you just moved to NYC says everything we need to know about this list.

Don’t live in the city, however I honestly prefer Brooklyn (Bed Stuy, Flatbush, Williamsburg) to Manhattan overall. Its just the commute into the office would be rough.

whilst bedstuy and flatbush might've been gentrifying pre COVID, I would not want to live there now, and especially not if I had a girlfriend who had to visit me later at night. Same with LES.  Heights, Williamsburg, Park Slope, DUMBO are still safe though everywhere has taken a downturn in that regards recently

For analysts and junior ASO with college Debt

1/ Murray Hill (curry hill!)

2/ Hell’s Kitchen (some parts of Hudson Yards)

3/ Chelsea

4/ West village (I think East is a dump)

This is garbage.

1) West Village and Soho are tied - primarily depends on the vibes you want

2) Noho

3) Greenwich village

4) North half of Tribeca (lispenard and a couple streets down)

5) Flatiron

6) Gramercy park (around the park)

7) Lower streets of Chelsea (in the teens)

Nice luxury building in Tribeca. No question.

The West Village is overrated. The apartments are old and they’re not even that nice unless you’re paying 10k for a 1 bed. Girls go wet if you say you live alone in the village though.

If you’re an analyst, just live in LES. Cheap,   downtown, food/drink. The setup is good for dates - drink and then hop to your place.

Murray hill sucks, move on.
