Offer comparison: BNP Markets vs Cantor Fitz IBD?
Hi, I am comparing the internship offer of BNP global markets and Cantor Fitz IBD. Which one you guys think will make me a better candidate of BBs IBD SA? Given that the location is all APAC, Cantor Fitz is not that famous at here, that is one of my concern.
BNP is top bank out of BBs but the position is markets instead of IBD. How would you choose if u wanna head to IBD in APAC or Europe?
Definitely Cantor if in US, I am not sure the presence and dealflow of Cantor in Europe or Asia. But the name of BNP is reli top and u can fall back to at least a safety net during job hunting
IB is IB. If you are looking to lateral to another IBD role, would be much easier to do it from Cantor. Get some deal experience and be able to speak intelligently about it. You'll be fine.
Is the securitization a part or IB or structuring part of Markets? I am wondering the brandname or function is more important. So u would suggest Cantor?
You should research that but I've never heard of securitization being under IBD
