I was reading a thread on here the other day, and the poster said that he received an offer from a BB without a superday. A lot of the comments said that this BB had a new HR team and they were testing this method out.
Can anyone tell me what BB this is?

Several BBs came through my campus and made offers without super days. One made offers the same day as on campus interviews.
Can you say which BB's?
JPM and Citi do this at my school. not sure about the others.
I know a guy that received a GS offer without superday. That being said, GS made the offer after he received an offer from an arguably more superior firm. So I would say unless you are an all-star, don't count on it.
WTF is a more superior firm than GS?
BX M&A, BX RR, BX PE, Silverlake, LGP, etc.

Guy at my school got a top PE summer internship just with an hour coffee with a Senior MD.
I think all the BBs do this at targets. I know networked kids who have gotten BAML and JPM summer offers after 1 round

Hey all,
I just got an offer from a NY-based BB right after OCR. I'm extremely thankful, but kinda of confused — is this a normal thing?
Also, my different offer says I'm getting $20/h and $30/h overtime. But it says all overtime hours must be pre-approved — does this mean that I'm not getting paid overtime?

A few months ago I received a summer analyst offer from an elite boutique (GHL, Moelis, etc) in NY. I had a series of interviews following a phone screen with the expectation that if those went well I would be called back for a superday. i felt like i nailed all of my interviews, and several weeks later I got a call back with an offer for the summer without being invited in for a super day. I attend a non target and had networked heavily to get the initial interview. I also had previous IB experience interning at a regional boutique the previous summer. obviously i'm really excited about the offer but i've been wondering how unusual to get an offer without attending a superday.
Any thoughts on how often this happens or why they would have skipped another round of interviews?

I got an offer this way as well. First round was only a 25 minute on campus interview. I asked them more questions than they asked me.

I just got an offer this past week from a BB for FT. I networked a bunch with the group and had a round of interviews with some senior bankers on the phone. Got called this week and given and offer. They never flew me out to meet the team or anything. Is this weird? Should I be weirded out? It's for a specific group.
why on earth are you even asking this question? your networking success is enough to make anybody jealous.
yea dude that's fine. the group doesn't necessarily wanna pay for your/other prospective interviewees' travel and lodging. congrats!

Not really, I had something similar at an MM for an internship.
I just think it's weird that I didn't meet anyone face to face. That is all. Kind of hard to gauge culture over the phone.
