Office or Work From Home - Incoming NYC FT Analyst Class?
Any word internally, or through communication to analysts, indicating one way or the other?
Obviously no one knows for certain what will be, but has there been any news on this either way?

Assuming a standard summerish start date, I highly doubt you are starting in the office. This is going to last a lot longer than people realize.
Is S&T more likely to start in office?
Would it be WFH for orientation/SIE only, or into the Fall also?
What about an optional arrangement? Where those who have been vaccinated can come into the office? It just seems that, after reading about all the horror stories regarding WFH, many if not most analysts/associates/ VPs would want to come into the office at least on a part-time basis.
not to discredit any of the comments made here about burn out etc. but i don’t think the associate / VP experience has necessarily been the same, the analysts have definitely had it way worse. most of my fellow associates aren’t racing to get back.
Is there any chance that HR/forward looking management force people back in, specifically to train the juniors?
Won't having 2 analyst classes WFH have ramifications down the line (promotions, productivity, firm loyalty, etc.)?
The second year analysts told me wfh until Labor Day. The seniors want to spend the summer on the cape or in the hamptons.
So that would probably mean training from home, work in the office?
And also probably dependent on groups/firms specific
I wouldn’t call it group specific. Maybe sales and trading or whatever, but BBs like to keep things uniform. God only knows how many committees are going to be formed to get people back in the office. If I had to bet I’d say 25% chance max IBD is back this summer.
Labor Day at the earliest. Could be wfh for all of 2021. Told us incoming guys not to bother with apartments. The analysts have all left nyc.
Bump, what about for S&T (NYC)
Any updates, bank by bank, anyone know the different policies for training and starting in the office or WFH?
Express your desire to work in office to HR if you really want to and i’m pretty sure you’ll be able to come to some agreement.
