Office transfer?

I am an intern at one of the European offices of an American BB. If I get a return offer, any chance I can ask to try out an office in the US? I am neither a US citizen nor a US college graduate, but I am trying to join my girlfriend in the US. It sounds pretty much impossible to me, but it seems even less likely at another bank I would have no prior history with. Has anyone been in/ heard of similar situations?
