I'm currently a senior in high school who got accepted into Ohio State University. Fischer is one of my cheaper options so I wanted to know how Fischer places for IB. I know about the Fischer Futures program but I am not sure of how successful this program is or how competitive it is.

I know about the Fischer Futures program but I am not sure of how successful this program is or how competitive it is. It's possible, but there are many other state schools and undergrad business programs that place better into IB. OSU places more into commercial banking.

Fisher's ability to place has not been strong historically, but has significantly improved over the last 3-5 years. Though it is not on par with Ross or Kelley, it is gaining traction quickly. KeyBank and Duff & Phelps (if you would call that an IB) both recruit heavily on-campus in addition to smaller shops in the area such as BGL. Though that's about it as far as on-campus goes, there is a solid OSU presence at Blair, Baird, and Barclays as of lately. There's alumni scattered at the majority of tops shops, but normally no more than a couple at each.

I didn't go to The Ohio State university but a similar school. Here is how my networking went.

Just doing a quick search you have a good amount of bankers that you can reach out too across wall street and across the nation. on top of that there are a good amount of state school alumni you be able to reach with the right story.

I would say that if you don't have a target school as an option to attend you be just fine at The Ohio State University as you know you want to go into banking so early. You probably will have no problem. Coming from a state school can be rough, but with enough networking you can get to wall street.
