Oily skin and bad acne after starting fulltime
Anyone else dealing with this? My acne has just flared up considerably since hitting the desks in July. Is the cause stress, lack of sleep, diet? Anyone know how to unfck my face?

Wash your sheets and pillow case bruh
How often? I wash every two weeks....
Dude wash it every week.... 2 weeks is too long man.
Family friend is a dermatologist - says drink lots and lots of water, wash your face at least two-three times a day, cut down on greasy food like pizza and fast food if possible, and of course 7-8hrs sleep is one of the top remedies but that might be challenging in this industry so maybe catch up on sleep on the weeknds?!? Hope this helps.
My dude washing you're face 2-3 times a day will cause even MORE breakouts than reduce it. He'll dry up his face with all the face wash he'll be using causing his pores to create more oil than is necessary and he'll break out even more. once a day MAX and best to do it at night.
What I was going for is that if he washes his face once he wakes up and before he goes to sleep that's two times already. If he works out or goes for a client meeting during a hot day during the middle of the day, don't you think he could use an extra wash to clear off all the extra sweat and oils that could accumulate and cause acne if left sitting for hours?

This so much. I had back surgery and wasn't able to shower for five days afterward. That was the clearest my face has ever been. Of course it felt gross, but washing your face is really a "less is more" situation.
Acutane
If you normally suffer from acne, you should take accutane and just get it over with. It works but has some potential bad side effects that I never got except dry skin.
Had the same problem: exfoliate with one of these shower towels, use a hydrating face wash & cream, drink water/tea not milk, reduce carbs if possible and eat various greens don't just eat salads and exercise
Accutane.
Until then, avoid food that causes your sebaceous glands to over secrete oil under your skin.
It sucks because you basically can't eat much, but you'll be eating tremendously more healthier due to acne. Basically rice, chicken, fish, vegetables, fruit, water, raw juices.
Lmao @ people suggesting Accutane. The potential side effects are so extreme to where doctors make you read and sign this booklet required by the government because of how bad the sides can get. Only worth it if you have serious, cystic acne that'll scar your face.
But yeah other than that everyone else is spot on. Foods like carrot, spinach, kale, sweet potatoes are really good for your skin and gives it that "glow." Avoid high glycemic foods, water only, wash bedsheets.
Don't be a pussy.
accutane is not that bad, I did it in college while drinking 2-3 times a week- studying / never sleeping / going through recruiting season and honestly it was the best decision I ever made in regards to seriously getting rid of acne, only took a semesters worth of commitment as well.
I have a few other friends who did it in college as well and it seemed to be consensus that everyone was beyond happy they did the treatment. It can honestly be such a self esteem changing medication.
I believe that OP should try natural stuff before rushing to medication. If all/some of the good narutal suggestions do not work after one month then fine
Fair enough if the acne is bad enough then yeah it definitely would be a massive boost. Having great, glowy clean skin is a godsend.
Accutane isn't that bad at all. Took it my sophomore year in college, finished the treatment, and haven't broken out once since the 3 years I've been off of it. The whole booklet by the government that they make you sign is mainly for women because it causes birth defects. It's an extremely powerful drug. It does have some extreme side effects that has the potential to mess with your brain chemistry/intestinal tract. I would only recommend it if you've tried other treatments without any success, but I'd say it was worth it for me.
Not sure what you are washing with, but oxy / benzoyl peroxide is the only thing to use for real acne. Salicylic acid is for clogged pores, etc, but will make cystic type acne worse. As someone said above, wash first thing in the morning and before bed (and after any exercise). Lotion with Cetaphil daily SPF 15. I know you’re thinking the sunscreen with f you, but that stuff is money. Thank me later.
I got you brah. I suffered with really oily skin and break outs when i first started working too but I have the solution and links to products that I used everyday.
Hope this helps KING!
all good tips but 32 oz doesn't sound like that much water? Healthy amount is at least 2L which would be 70 oz
I hope those affiliate links
Lol nah, just products that i tested out myself and liked the results they gave me. All the searching and research on youtube just put me in the fallacy of choice situation where those so many products i end up not knowing which to choose and became overwhelmed. So I just took a gamble and saw which products worked and which didn't. No need to buy the super expensive department/salon brands.
What helped me was going (cow) dairy-free, gluten-free, and sugar-free (xylitol is a great replacement). Your wallet will feel those changes a bit, but you will feel a lot better.
1) Get a good face wash 2) Get a good facial moisturizer 3) Wash your face 2 times a day and use moisturizer immediately after using a face wash 4) If you have drier skin than most people, put on one of those moisturizing masks that women use and do it once or twice a weak
Its all those things but sugar is the biggest factor
Wow, the response has been overwhelming! Thank you - the acne breakouts have definitely affected my self-esteem and one of the comments I got in passing was I needed to show my presence more and be more self-confident, but my breakouts were inhibiting me to that extent. Gonna start with the small things first before seriously considering Accutane.
One of my female friends suggested Vitamin C cream for any scars left by breakouts. Do you guys have suggestions for that?
