One-Off Interviews Even Though the Structured Interview Cycle is Done?

I'm wondering if anyone has any insights into securing a one-off interview. I'm a sophomore finance major at a non-target school still recruiting for summer 2027. I’ve had some setbacks with certain places; however, I've shifted my focus and am now reaching out via warm connections to very senior bankers. Most of these firms have already extended their summer 2027 offers, but I believe it might still be possible to land a one-off interview if I do the right things and make a good impression.

Does anyone here have experience as a sophomore securing a summer analyst internship after the structured recruitment cycle for a bank that has already closed the traditional process?
