Online certificate to pass the BB resume check?

Hi all,

I have a couple years of experience at a European no-name boutique with solid deal execution reps in a leading role on multiple deals.

Currently, I'm considering trying to lateral to a brand name bank and I've heard that if your resume does not contain any recognizable household names (MM/BB/EB/even Big4 for work experience and/or Tier 1 schools for education), you don't even stand a chance to pass the initial computer screening of your resume. 1) Is this true?, and 2) Could an online certificate (HBS online or others) help to at least not get auto-dinged?

Would highly appreciate any insight into this topic or any other pointers to lateral for that matter.
