Nyc/east coast kindergarten +elementary school for nepo kids

The only face I remember from my tenor at Saint Ann's is my Au Pair picking me up in the Range Rover to go to polo practice. I did not even know my father's name until I showed up at Phillips Exeter and one of the buildings had our last name on it.

I volunteered as a coach at one of the S-tier schools for a number of years. Kids missing practices because they wanted to study, scheduling college visits during playoff games, single digit parents in attendance, lot of familiar last names being in the finance world.
Best story was being stuck out of state because of a plane issue, sitting at the gate waiting for news when suddenly half the team walks up and asks for permission to leave because someone's parents are sending the PJ to get them home.
Tbh this surprises me, aren't the athletics highly competitive? I always thought there was a lot of time and effort put into sports at those schools, atleast from a trying to get into college standpoint, and so missing a game sounds crazy to me.
