Operational risk management vs actuary

Hi guys, If you got two SA offers, one is op risk in a large BB bank and the other one is an actuarial job in a large consulting company, which one would you choose?

What's the future of risk management in BB banks? How do the pay and hours look like?

I think the pay of risk management is somewhere between 65k to 70k, maybe a few thousand dollars for bonus. It depends on what you want in your future career. Do you want to climb the corporate ladder, try to get to a front office role or take all your actuarial exams and actually be an actuary. I'd say if you want to get into finance then go for the ops risk role. You may have the chance to interact with so many other groups in the summer. If it doesn't work out then try actuarial for FT. After all, if you have two exams in your pocket, you could potentially get the same offer again for FT.
