People who are recruiting for 2021 FT IB positions
What have you been doing over the past few months? How are you feeling for this recruiting cycle? I can start ... I’ve done absolutely nothing and am scared for this upcoming cycle.
I would've been preparing/recruiting aggressively if things were normal. However, with rise of COVID, an almost definite 2nd wave, auto-FT offers for a couple firms, & a shortened internship (I assume firms will have a tougher time distinguishing betw performance of interns & will give out more offers), my perspective has changed. I'm just preparing to do the best I can for my SA and making sure I get a return offer. The job market is brutal.
Yeah, I second this. I havn't dared to network. Trying to move to a better firm in a terrible economy while you haven't even started your internship yet... big nono I think.
Same but I guess what I did was I kept in touch w everyone I had networked. So, I'm still networking with them to secure a FT position at an EB. Hopefully things work out
