Personal Finance

Incoming IB analyst in a mcol city here. How would you advise me to invest my money over the course of my career? My plan was to build up a decent nest egg in a hysa and then dump everything else in the S&P. Thoughts?

I am interested in pursuing a career in lmm pe after my analyst years in banking. Considering the bonus is a larger portion of your total comp, how do you budget for fixed expenses as you rise in seniority? How do you know how expensive of a house, car, tuition for kids you can afford when your total comp is largely variable?
