Phone Call with M&A MD
I have a phone call with the MD of an M&A group and was wondering what high level knoweldge I should have of the practice that would prove I am somewhat competent in the field?
Not necassarily technical questions but what topics should I brush up on and be able to answer questions about?
Any help would be appreciated.
Do your research on him and build rapport first and then after breaking the ice and finding common ground then start to ask questions specifically pertaining to any past deals he’s worked on.
Great idea. Thanks so much for the advice.
Is it an interview or just a networking call? If the latter then I'd echo the statement the other commenter made. If the former, then you should probably be prepared for technicals.
Understood. Thanks for the reinforcement.
.
Totally makes sense. Really appreciate the insight.
