Piper Sandler SA 2026

I received an email a week ago from a VP asking to schedule a call. They didn't call it an interview but it def was one. was wondering if others had this and if there is an update with first rounds. not sure if i should just move on

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's not uncommon for firms like Piper Sandler to conduct informal calls that function as interviews, even if they aren't explicitly labeled as such. These calls are often used to gauge interest, fit, and basic qualifications before moving candidates to formal first-round interviews.

If you haven't heard back after a week, it might be worth sending a polite follow-up email to the VP to express your continued interest and inquire about next steps. This shows initiative and keeps you on their radar. However, it's also wise to continue exploring other opportunities in parallel, as the process can sometimes be unpredictable.

Good luck, and keep networking!

I got the offer a month and a half ago… different offices could be on different timelines though so I wouldn’t sweat it.
