I'm not intimately familiar, but from someone I know who works there I don't think they've had many cap markets analysts before so there won't be a ton of examples. I've heard there is usually a coverage team staffed on most projects in addition to cap markets though so Idk who would be doing the modeling work going forward, maybe it depends on the deal / situation.

Not in this group but I think from what I’ve heard this is accurate.

They hired from the top down - they hired some heavy hitter MDs and Senior MDs from some of the big bulge brackets in DCM and ECM as Partners at PJT, and then went from there to the drawing board for the junior team.

Have some sharp associates who I’m sure would place well if they tried to leave, but not a lot of analogues to reference.

Think they are all industry agnostic and work with all the main offices. Culture is good - but can get pulled in last minute on a deal requiring acquisition financing or a special situation which I’ve heard can be hectic.

Overall it’s an advisory based group so lots of the analysis is driven from the seniors, which is a better setup for juniors who in a lending situation have to carry a fuller workload of market making based work.

bump, anyone familiar with the group and know about exits? do they do modeling work?
