Places to live in NYC this summer that is not NYU?

What's a good place or site to use to get a decent housing arrangement this summer? NYU is like 4600 almost for the entire summer and am trying to find something less because I feel that's just not worth what you're getting. I saw https://www.nycintern.org have pretty dam decent housing and it'd be like 3500-3800 for much better than a small college dorm. Does anyone else have recommendations on where to look for summer housing? Looking for more luxury/cleaner than a college dorm.

If price is an issue than idk what you're imagining by saying you want something "more luxury/cleaner than a college dorm". NYC is expensive so you have to curb your expectations for the price point you want.

With that said, you're going to have to sublet and there are plenty of places where you can see rentals for the summer. The best sources I used were the facebook groups. The ones with a couple of thousand members have pretty good activity. Would also suggest joining the ones with "NYU" in the group title because it means that the apartments are mostly from NYU students who live in Manhattan, mainly east village and midtown which would make for an easy commute (assuming you're working in midtown).

Aside from the FB groups, craigslist is actually not too bad as long as you avoid the obvious scams.
