Poll: who is worse? a Goldman person or McKinsey person

Just saw a long post on linkedin starting “Former McK BA here -“, so after I vomited from secondhand embarrassment, I pondered who is worse: Goldman or McKinsey “alum”?

we’ve all seen it. The “ex-McK” “ex-GS” in linkedin headers, overly eager “humbled to announce” posts, GS banker bags at your equinox, the obnoxious senior with a return offer, the “when I was at [insert Goldman or McKinsey] we looked at it like this-“

two rare, elite, shamelessly pretentious stratum of folk. Which is worse?

Def McKinsey.  The average Joe knows what Goldman Sachs is, but not McKinsey, and if they do, they don’t really know what McKinsey does, so people who work there have a huge chip on their shoulder about it.
