Hard times happen a lot more often than people think. But, there's no need to update every little detail on your linkedin. Save the story for an interview.
There is a good chance the dude or gal is happier working at McD's than Goldman.
July 2022 was before first round of cuts…. Looks like he quit on his own. Found his LinkedIn and he’s just speedrunning jobs. 2 months at the most recent tenure
The original OP who I got this from went to school with the guy. He said the guy was hired at GSAM on a 9 month contract and didn't get renewed.

No shame in this but I wouldn’t have posted it on LinkedIn… I nearly had to find a retail / food service job myself between jobs. Luckily got back into it fast enough but this market is rough.
