Post-MBA - GMAT score and getting into banking?
So I've been accepted to UNC and Emory and plan to attend one of them. I eventually want to make a career change into investment banking, and my top targets are Wells Fargo in Charlotte, or STRH in Atlanta.
I got quite a low score on my GMAT...660. I am wondering how this will affect my chances of getting in at WF or STRH? I've already been accepted at UNC and Emory, but I've heard that some firms still look at your gmat score even if you're already in the program.
For places like STRH and WF, is this the case? I've read that MBB has cutoffs, sure, and I'm guessing JPM and GS, but will it affect my chances at lower tier firms? Do they review gmat scores? I've also played with the idea of going into S&T or AM as well.
In to hear about this as well.
What is your profile? (I.e. undergrad GPA and work experience). Potentially looking at the above schools as well.
