preMBA offer- MM analyst position vs. MM PE Secondary analyst

What do you guys think is a better preMBA opportunity out of undergrad- MM analyst position (think Thomas Weisel, Piper, Montgomery) or (5 billion fund) secondary analyst position. I haven't decided whether I want to be in sell side or buy side but I'm leaning heavily towards buy side, but which opp is better in terms of exit opps(MBA, other buy side or sell side positions down the line)and overall experience (lifestyle, transaction/modeling experience). Thanks in advance!

My comment is going to be very biased as I know very little about working for a fund in a secondary analyst position. As someone going to work for a MM bank post graduation I would definitely say take the i-banking role. My personal opinion is that there isn't much you can do in 2 years to top the experience gained working as an analyst at an i-bank. I think these boards are entirely too focused on the bulge brackets and often overlook the guys in the middle market.

end goals is either MBA or most likely buy side(private equity, hedge funds). Which would provide better development of skill sets and exit opps for those end goals. Thanks CompBanker and bb.MandA.3rdyear for your comments....appreciate it. I'm really having trouble making my decision and I have to make it very soon.
