I am about to start as an analyst in the healthcare team for a BB in NYC. Anyone have any good recommendations as to any books or sample models I can look at to get a good understanding of the industry? I have looked at M&I and also spoken to some analysts about the industry but want to build solid technical knowledge as well before I start.

I was recently pointed towards https://www.ahip.org . as a good HC resource. It's a bit heavy on the provider side but has been a good way to stay up to date on current trends, tech, research, etc.
I work in HC so feel free to DM any questions. Can't promise I'll know the answer but I'll at least try lol
FierceBiotech and FiercePharma are good sites. These aren't for models but more about the general activity in the industry.

Hey Congrats! I tried to break into healthcare IB but haven't been successful yet. I would recommend the case study on Jazz Pharma from BIWS -- it was awesome, covering all valuation techniques. Would also recommend a book "Biotech Forecasting and Valuation" by Frank David -- it is a short read and I found it helpful.
