Programming Language for Investment Banking
During this time in quarantine, I wanna try to pick up a new skill that I think would be beneficial in the future for investment banking. I want to learn a new coding language, but I'm not sure which one will be the most helpful. Is the statistical programming language R more beneficial than Python 3 for investment bankers?
While I'm sure the logical and critical thinking / analysis skills you develop by coding will help to some extent when working on complex models in Excel, I can guarantee you that you will never need to outrightly use R or Python in IB. I was always confused by how this belief originated.
You want to try to learn a new skill or you want to learn a new skill? You can try googling it too.
