Project Finance to LevFin
Is this a move that you’ve seen people make? Am I naive in assuming since both groups deal with the debt side of things, a transition seems possible? Obviously not happening right now, but wanted to know for future reference.

Yes have seen this happen, and know someone who transitioned from a top PF shop to LevFin at a top tier BB (JPM/GS/MS)
Not that difficult and fairly common at European banks with strong PF presence.
Prob comes down to business needs; given current state of lev fin market you might be better off staying in PF until the dust settles down.
Bump - can anyone else add to this?

Should be a pretty easy transition from a skillset perspective - project finance is much more complex than your standard corporate lev fin deal.
Main barrier is really just that the lev fin market is dead right now, which it seems like your cognizant of.
Bumping for visibility. can anyone else contribute to this? Looking to understand the parallels between the two, the transferable skills and the skills that would be lacking
