Public Finance interview next week is going to have a math quiz requiring no finance knowledge. What should I expect?
Landed an interview next week for a public finance position at a reputable shop in NYC. Interviewer said I will have to take a technical quiz that is math focused. But also mentioned the test requires no knowledge of finance. Im guessing this is more of an aptitude test than anything. What should I expect, any tips?
I appreciate any input!
Interesting. PubFin interviews are almost 100% fit/why Public Finance related with a little bit of general bond math thrown in. I think your guess of an aptitude test is spot on. If you move forward and anticipate a more finance/bond technical portion PM me and id be happy to answer any questions you have (currently working as a second year associate within the PubFin group of a national BD in Dallas)
