Purposely downgrading role in bank
Looking to join IB post-MBA (don’t need no snide post-MBA associate jokes) and am thinking it would be great to grind for 5-6 years, make great money, and then change from IB to something like Corporate Banking/PWM/something that’s like a 9-6:30/7 job. How feasible is it to go from an IB role to a “lower” role within finance?
Much easier to go down the mountain than climb up. There are quite a few people in corporate/commercial banking that I've seen do this.
