PWP London

Received a bunch of inbounds from them. While they have certainly advised on a bunch of >1bn deals, overall volume remains so so.

I am at an MM doing Tech and Software (think HL/Baird/RJ/Blair/Lincoln) and they have reached out to me. However, looking at Mergermarket it does not look like they do any actual Tech, more like just Telco due to their Industrials angle.

Anyone know which teams they actually have? Seen a bunch of analysts on LinkedIn say they are TMT but clearly not true. How many people work there / team size?

Bump, in a similar position and also been inbounded and had a couple interviews. Would be great to get some insight.

Agree they mostly do telco. Don't think any of the seniors really cover tech to my knowledge - they seem more focused on the fintech side of things than the software vanilla tech.

Isn’t Fintech something they only recently started / will start having poached the FT Partners MD? Can you shed some light on what sectors they actually do? How come people list sectors such as TMT on LinkedIn when they are basically an Industrials shop with some Industrials offshoots. Even the Healthcare related deals that I saw on Mergermarket were basically MedTech / Equipment stuff mostly.

How many people in the London office? If they do 10-12 deals per year and have dedicated sector teams such as TMT, Industrials I don’t see how all the teams can get good dealflow given the above. Maybe a case could have been made for generalists but they seem to have dedicated teams.

Yup Fintech is recent as a sleeve of FIG (which was on Aareal recently). Overall you are right its an industrials heavy shop - this is where they are good in France and Germany mostly too. I think they are trying to diversify a bit and brought on some guys to build the Telco side.
I don’t really work with them much, they tend to do large corporate deals.
