I guess your right. But I only have two finals and they're both in classes that I'm certain I can maintain my A in even if I end up bombing the exam, although I think it's unlikely given my prior performance in these classes.

Nope. I wouldn't recommend it. You can try but I think people might get pissed off and think you're just some pompous ass. While you have a good reason, the reason can't really be communicated on the one line you have in your CV to write it. So I think this is the idea they'd get unfortunately. Alternatively, you could add your mid semester GPA? Though that's unconventional and might be frowned upon at least you can back it up. Best thing is just to hope for an interview (if you're applying) so that you can explain the situation.

Also, don't despair. First year is for partying and "adjusting" anyways. Chances are most people who would perform reasonably well in interviews (i.e. those that developed great social skills during all the partying that goes on in first year) are in the same boat. Always a tradeoff.

you know, all your threads really annoy me. i genuinely hope you don't work for my bank.

My thoughts exactly. Moving from making excuses, to how to game the diversity system, and now to serious ethical questions.
