RBC FIG, UBS Tech, Barclays Tech
I have recently seen job postings for lateral analysts in all the groups above. Can anyone comment on group strength, culture, and exit opps?

The UBS tech posting is actually for the NY team, which is mostly media/internet I believe. I know UBS's tech/software deals are handled in SF, but don't know much else though.
RBC fig is okay, but not something to write home about. League tables may be misleading as they had one giant deal a few years back. But overall would avoid for other fig teams
I heard they were a top-notch group on the street, maybe I am misinformed. Do you know how the culture and exit opps are?

Not sure if worth noting, but they poached a few of the DB FIG guys and landed BB&T SunTrust, KKR's BDC merger, etc. I imagine they do alright.
Yeah, my impression was they were one of RBC's top groups. Do y'all know the culture there?
The DBs guy chased that deal for ten years. It’s practically their only client. Great deal and that specific deal was one off for RBC

Barclays Tech has chill junior level people but apparently horrible (to work with) MDs, probably why there's a lateral slot open. Super grindy, 90+ hrs every week type place. Also, their tech group is actually based out of NYC with a satellite out west in MP, should that be important to you. They cover pretty much all verticals from NYC. Huge range of exits.
