What is your current background atm? Can only advice to guide after knowing where you’re coning from
Masters in finance , 1 ib(diversified) internship at one of the smaller banks
Should be a pretty standard interview given your background. Read up on the market at the moment and deals going on.
Have you heard back for an interview yet?
No..
asked the question above just in case i get the interview and a short time to prep for,.
Group grinds analyst quit within a year and fired director recently. toxic
Also at RBC, heard theyre killing it but seems rare to be hiring an analyst in this market. Do you know what happened to their current analyst? They left?
good guy but was working until 5am everyday 7 days a week
Thanks, was it male or female analyst?
is the intense female vp still there
Why would such a busy group only have 1 analyst
They have 3 I believe.
How are the hours there overall in other groups? Haven't met anyone who worked at RBC before
RBC in Toronto actually is quite chill in culture; M&A and PU&I work hard but people are generally very civil. BMO / CIBC has a lot more weirdly intense mid level / senior bankers. BMO especially.
Anyone hear back yet?
Kind of an odd question in the application online where they ask what your base salary expectations are:
$90k
90k-100k
>100k (non negotiable)
And thats in cad, which is 60k usd. Lowballing hard
