Re-recruit/Re-class Investment Banking?

Please let me know thoughts, opinions, and any insight that may be helpful. Please feel free to be transparent and truthful.

Thinking about tacking on a semester, thus allowing me to recruit for junior summer IB internships all over again. My story (Non-target) to keep it short is I landed a sophomore summer IB internships late into recruiting at top 10 BB/EB and couldn’t land anything junior summer. Fast forward, didn’t get a return for conversion into next summer and am left dead in the water for junior summer internships as majority applications are closed.

Gave up an incredible amount to fall short. Should I move on or re-recruit all over again? Now with a big name on my story which I’d have to have an explanation/story to. Open to DM’s, thanks for the help in advance!

Thanks for the comment, how hard would I be grilled regarding the BB/EB IB internship and my story/no return?

With this, think it’ll be tough unless you transfer schools. You’re not gonna get an interview without networking. And how are you gonna network when you say “yeah I’m going for SA all over again bc I failed the first time around”?

Take out the time to engineer a story that makes sense and sounds motivating. Although uncommon, there’s been plenty of cases of re-classing — so I believe. Nothings over until you quit is my genuine personality.
