What's the rationale for the move?
More entity-level transactions, better pay
Entity-level transactions yes, but surely you'd make more at a BX/KKR than REIB?
Current REIB analyst. Easiest would be MBA -> associate and then target MS/JPM/GS/BOFA. If not, would need to go a smaller IB firm and lateral in.
MBA is “cleaniest” way.
However, it’s possible without - need to ramp up the networking with REIB groups and put in the time to learn entity-level terminology and metrics (FFO, AFFO, etc.)
Also, be prepared to take a year or two off of title.
