Received offer for most likely junior program as a sophomore

Hi, monkeys,

I am in a strange situation, I am a sophomore, and I just received an offer for next summer. very happy about it, but the issue is that I think that this program is only for juniors. I went through the first round, and super day and nobody said anything, and now I am confused. Will they rescind my offer if they realize that I am too young, or once I sign the offer they will allow me to do the internship anyway. The process was very technical, and that's why I am not sure they realized I am a sophomore.

Note: their job posting said: successful interns will be considered for full-time positions, but did not say anything about sophomore applying.

Can a firm take both sophomore and junior or they clearly overlooked my graduation date?

Thanks!

Lol, nice work. Some more info (if you're willing) on bank/program would be helpful.

Best cases:

  • You could do the internship, they figure out you're a soph and they give you a return offer
  • You could do the internship and accelerate your school and graduate early
  • You could do the internship and re-recruit for other Junior SAs next summer

Worst case is they find out you're a soph, realize you conned them and pull your offer

They said successful interns will be considered for full-time positions, but did not say anything about sophomore applying, I don't remember anything else on the listing. For sure, there was nothing against sophomore.

I guess my question is: can they decide to rescind the offer after I signed?

I did nothing wrong, and during the process, I always said in my story that I was a sophomore, but I am afraid they were not listening ahahah

Graduation dates are incredibly easy to play with. No need to stress. Prioritize your own utility always

Don’t mention unless they ask you to specify. If they are fine with soph, no problem then. If they only want junior, tell then u r one. If you get a full time return offer, tell them you are pushing back graduation dates for some academic / personal reason. If u don’t want the return / don’t get one, no problem there
