Recently Laid off 2nd Yr Analyst
Title sums it up, I got laid off last month at a MM coverage group (RJ/HW/Truist/Piper). Was a strong performer but unfortunately many juniors across the bank were let go. Been looking around to lateral but IB positions haven't really opened up. For those who were recently in this position, how long did it take to land on your feet and are you happy with your new role? Are there any IB focused headhunters that you reached out to? Advice is appreciated as I currently don't know what my next steps should be in this job market.

Two cents, hopefully you are applying for unemployment to at least get $504 a week. Doesn’t help compared to the $2,000+ you were making beforehand, but it’s better then nothing
