Recently Laid Off Analyst 1 From MM IB - What to Do From Here?

Hey everyone,

I was recently laid off from a MM investment bank as a first year analyst and wanted to hear advice from others who have gone through similar situations. I disagree with a lot of the reasons that they shared on why they made this decision. I believe a large part had to do with an associate who did not like me.

I believe that I have really strong 1 year of IB experience due to being on a few live deals (unfortunately, none closed). Do any of you have any advice on how I move on from here? Do any of you also know of any teams that are looking for people with my experience level and background? My plan is to apply to everything relevant to IB, including equity research, valuations, consulting, and other finance roles.
