Recently networked with a banker who is too new to refer...
Hey , so I was calling a banker in NYC and he said that he contractually could not refer me until a set time after his start date, even though we had a great call. He cant refer me until january, but applications for this bank opened October of last year... which probably means also October of this year.
does this mean I should be networking with people who have a decent amount of experience and what should I do about this specific situation? and i guess this raises the question of, does it matter how long after the referral is post app submission?
Ask if he can warm connect you with someone in the bank who can refer you.
