Recruiting from the SEC/Non-Target State Schools

Hi everyone, myself and a friend are currently seniors at an SEC school and are writing our thesis about recruiting in Finance. We were both members of our school's cohort designed directly to make us competitive in IB recruiting and we have accepted FT rolls at a MM IB and a Large AM. Our thesis centers around recruiting, specifically if you don't make it into an IB internship where you can look next. We have identified S&T, MBB Consulting, AM, CF, HF, and PE as alternatives (yes we're aware some of those are easier than others.) We want to create small guides for each of these aspects showing how their interviews, recruiting timelines, and necessary skills/experience differ from IB. We'd also like to create a list of firms that have an SEC/Non-Target State School presence at them in each field. If you have any relevant information that you think would help us in putting this projcet together, we'd really appreciate a comment and/or a PM. Also the plan is to post our finished product to WSO to say thanks and to help future recruits.
