BofA has dominated the space for the past 10 years. MS, Citi, JPM have good real estate groups as well.
Is it possible to recruit for a junior SA for this group at these banks?

No, none of these banks have group specific recruiting.
I work in REIB (ECM).
Interviewing: technicals nothing extreme we don’t expect you to know anything in-depth. Main things are having a good reason why you want to work in REIB (and don’t say it’s because you want to do REPE). Know what a REIT is, and the high level valuation approach to them (NAV).
Rankings: this doesn’t make any difference and students should stop caring about this so much, unless you have multiple offers just take the offer you get.
