REPE Acquisitions to Corporate IBD - Feasible?

Hey everyone! I wanted to get color on whether a move from REPE acquisitions to corporate IBD, specifically for execution groups (M&A, LevFin etc.) would be even in the realm of feasible. Looking to see if anyone here or someone you know has done it before.

Background: - Non-target (a couple of alumni on the street), strong GPAA couple of months into the job (would move sometime around the 1-year mark) - Shop is growing (2-3bn AUM) but by no means a MF - Assume a strong enough story on wanting to pivot, MBA off the table for now

I understand that it's an uphill battle but any insight is much appreciated. Realized (albeit late) that as much as I love RE, I loved learning about corporate transactions even more
