Not working in IB yet, but this is what I’ve heard so anyone feel free to correct if I’m wrong. Yes ppl do this, there are a bunch of threads on this alr - quite common actually. There are also ppl who didn’t get SA offers on their first try who go back and do it all over again with the knowledge they’ve gained from the past recruiting cycle. Grad date shouldn’t be an issue when ur chatting w bankers or whatever it’s just something u needa be aware of on the HR side of things (make sure ur transcript says ur actually extending grad).

 

Yes this is very true. I did this although I probably would have extended anyways since I transferred schools so I needed the extra semester anyway. I was at a state school so pretty easy decision on the financial side, just don’t wait to long, be decisive so that you can attack following recruitment cycle to a tee and be on the earlier side compared to your new peers.
