Be sure to know things like valuation, why the deal is happening, the key players, what you included in the pitch, and things about current debt markets. I would also double check with your boss on what info about the deal is confidential.

Interviews are happening in early January but submissions are now for me so I want to squeeze this deal on my resume. The md has said this is the deal I'm going to be working on in the coming weeks so hopefully I will get some work on it soon before the actual interviews. What are the first stages of a restructuring deal? Restructuring seems to move at a lot slower pace than m&a. Is the valuation the same as m&a? I've worked on a number of m&a deals and I'm pretty familiar with valuation... or so I think.

Also, if the debtor is a public company then everything besides the company name should be safe to write right? Do you quantify creditor side deals by the amount of unsecured debt or total debt?
