Resume Critique for FT IB Recruiting (Please!)
Hey guys,
Would really appreciate some feedback regarding my resume for FT IB recruiting. Getting ready to send out some networking emails to alumni and want my resume to be perfect before I do. Thanks!

You need to quantify your accomplishments wherever possible. Dollar amounts, %, etc.
No deals made it past the IOI stage in my internship. Would it still be worth quantifying that I ran the DCF/lbo models I created and the valuation figure/multiples I arrived at? Thanks!
You can quantify anything, for example, you mention about enhancing total shareholder return analysis...or something like that.
How fast did you speed up the process? For example if it took 20 minutes before and your automated process now takes 5 minutes, quantify that improvement with a %.
People like to see numbers. Majority of resume reviewers will not read your resume line by line, so you want to try to quantify things as much as possible as it will draw their eye to it.
Errors: "S&P CapIQ" and then "CapitalIQ", "Decisions Making" (Even if that is the proper correct course name drop the 's' anyway), "payout calculations. Developed" (Using sentences now?), "probability adjusted database", "due diligence research", "automated alternative methodology" (Sound odd, could be more, didn't check.), "potential synergies" (Don't need to say potential.), "merger and acquisition" (Commit to using initials or not.), "Linear Algebra" (Nobody cares tbh.).
Questions: Language? GPA? "supervised....budgets" (Size?)
Suggestions: Tighten things up so you don't have to keep repeating words like "valuation", "activity" or "analysis". Quantify more.
Changed both to S&P cap IQ. Thanks. Changed to Decision. Regarding the sentences. The second part is directly referring to the total shareholder return analysis..think it would be better if I put "...payout calculations by developing.." The pipeline has probability of M&A transaction and breaks the revenues for each category down accordingly. (IE Potential 500 M in high prob transactions...etc). Think this needs reworded? Regarding the due diligence research, what I actually did was research the company and corresponding industry with online info, CIM sent to us, and research reports provided by banks. Am I wording this incorrectly? Changed to synergies. Any recommendation on M&A or merger and acquisition? Or irrelevant as long as both are the same?
Only speak english. GPA is a 3.2 so I figured i'd make them ask rather than advertise it. I've heard if I don't list it they assume worse than a 3.0 but still. It's below the 3.3 hard cut-off most banks have either way. The budgets summed to 40k, and all I did was review each position's budget plan and make sure no one was going over their allocated budget. Still think it's worth mentioning/elaborating?
Thanks again for the criticism. I appreciate it.
Some of the things I would change: - Remove some of the relevant coursework because its taking up 3 lines - I don't know how valuable the Wall St Prep is in terms of being seen by BB IBD so I would just move that to the additional information section - Way too many words and not enough numbers in the body of each position you held - Your internship at the boutique bank is more than a year is that a typo? - You have 5 bullets for your F500 company internship and only 3 for your IB one - Include your major GPA if that's any better
Thanks for the feedback! Trying to quantify everything now. I have the wall steeet prep to show I have knowledge of accounting/valuation that I wouldn't have learned being a math/econ major. I'll consider changing I though (although bb isn't really my target I don't think it's realistic. Aiming for boutiques/mm) and I've done significantly more for my corp dev internship compared to the ib one. I could try to fluff up the ib one but I didn't really do much relevant IB stuff tbh. Was more research
Are the dates correct for internships? You have two this summer ?
