Return Offer Advice

I am posting the context of my situation in the hopes that some people can shed some light on it. I am currently a SA at a boutique shop. I just graduated from a semi-target with two STEM majors and will do my MSF at a respected program next year. I am curious as to what my shot at a return offer would be. The reason I am curious is because this is a boutique, not BB. For context, I am a clients kid. There was supposed to be another intern but the shop cut him (this is by assumption because I was told there were going to be 2 of us but I am the only one). The shop is growing very large, having opened a couple of new offices recently and hired a couple MDs/VPs. I recently overheard the analysts and MDs saying they need a new analyst. I also overheard that they were planning on taking on someone late this year maybe (coming from an okay source). Do you think they would hold out to give me the return or are they just doing my parents a favor. I am networking just in case I don’t get the offer, but so far my work has been good. Appreciate any insight
