Revolut Strategy or stay in M&A
Currently A2 at top mm firm in M&A in London. Have received an invitation to an interview for Revolut for their strategy & opps. Am not interested in staying in banking but am interested in PE/VC/Tech Strategy in 2 years. Would it be a bad move to try to move to Revolut ? Unsure how it’s viewed career wise, exit opps etc vs M&A
Bump
didn't the CFO just quit? Turnover seems pretty high. Comp is low relative to the hours you work right?
And where will your SBC be struck at? At the $33bn valuation? Do you think they can be a $330bn company?
I'm not sure if it's all media hype, but I'd seen a lot of bad press around Revolut, so do your due diligence (and candidly I haven't looked into it myself, I just saw some headlines around CFO quitting as the other post mentioned, but also other seniors executives leaving and mis-statements of financial results).
Assuming all is watertight though, if you say that you're interested in tech strategy, why isn't this the role you're looking for? Why are you thinking about exits?
Awful culture, extremely arrogant crowd and insulting pay. I would stay away - you will be treated like s*, work as long hours as IB, as much pressure as if you were at Citadel and join when they are already overvalued.
Dont waste your time
Any more insights into the finance & strategy team in London?
