Rice University Alumni Presence?

Hello everyone,

I'm a freshman at Rice with a strong interest in investment banking. Is there a heavy alumni presence in Houston/NYC and is Rice considered a "target" school? I'm very curious about the perception of Rice grads in banking.

Also, I notice that tons of banks recruit here in the fall - was just curious about how many are actually given offers.

Thx.

I know this isn't IB, and you probably already know this, but Rice seems to be a good school for consulting. I have multiple friends who went to Rice and are now working in some of the top consulting firms. Something to think about! If you're set on investment banking you could try to email some Rice alumni that are now in banking and ask them about their networking/recruiting experience.
